Holiday Recap

December was a really good month, honestly; best than I expected (travel, job, concert) .
First, I went to visit one of my best friends in Orlando.  Besides spending time with her, had a blast at Sea World & Busch Gardens.  This was my first time in both parks; I felt like a kid again.  Thanks to this trip I found that I'm a trill junkie after getting in every roller coaster on both parks.  The first time in every ride was really scary (I cried a little in the first one), but then I was like "lets do it agaaaaaaaaiiiiiinnnnnn"  lol  Gladly, my stomach was a good sport those 2 days.  We saw all of the shows on Sea World, including the special ones for the Holidays; which where amazing.  Didn't took too many pictures because I was sick and didn't felt like carrying my big n heavy camera, but there are a couple from Sea World that I shared on Instagram if you are interested (randomrox)

There is a first time for everything and December was the month for it!  Had my first electronic music concert experience.  This was a super fun night.  I went with a friend to the David Guetta concert and to my surprise, we had VIP passes, that allowed us among other commodities; to see the show quite closer, considering how big the place was & the amount of people; the place was packed! and the energy!!! I'm really looking forward to another experience like this.  I jumped, sang, scream and danced like never before :))
Again, didn't want to carry the camera, so only a couple phone pics where snapped.

And well, here I am receiving the New Year.  My resolution? To loose the weight gained since I started studying :(

I know there are a lot of striped going on, but I live in the county; on a mountain and it was freaking cold that night!  Besides, I'm loving so much this hoodie from Charlotte Russe that don't mind looking crazy on it ;)

Until Next!

Its been a while....oh, Hello February!

Hi beauties, I'm back!
Seems like an eternity, but it was only 3 months without blogging.  It seems as I always disappear around the same time; close to the Holidays.

This time my hiatus was part involuntary; as my laptop is slowly dying and goes crazy when I try to download pics from my camera, create or edit documents and pictures or browse the web.  Well, it gets very slow, freezes and crashes pretty much doing anything.  I'm posting this now, but I've been trying to finish it since Thursday; so you can imagine the ordeal :(
Anyway, I'm trying not to let this tech issue discourage me from blogging.  In this 3 month a lot have happened and I'll share it with you little by little.

One of the most interesting things that happened is that I had my first real [not as an intern or volunteer] medical secretary experience! Yay! lol  I got a contract to cover another secretary during her vacation period on December.  It was only for a month, but then the other secretary needed some time off; so they extended my contract 3 more weeks :D
It was a great experience! From the very first day, I felt welcomed by the staff; I really miss them.  I feel blessed of having that opportunity because I learned a lot.  The good thing is that the office is in a Mall, so I can pass by while shopping to say hello.  Now that the contract finished, I'm back to square one looking for a job; but I'm optimistic about it.

Already have a couple post on draft, which is a good start.  I'm doing the writing on my laptop and the picture stuff on my mom's.
Until next!

Please Read: Help a beautiful angel!

Hi there!
This post is not cosmetics related, is more on a personal note.

Maria Isabel is the niece of  a friend and she needs help.  She was born prematurely a year ago and at her short age, she have gone trough a lot.  Among the many complications little Maria have surpassed, shes suffering from Short Guts Syndrome, Retinopathy of Premature, Congenital Glaucoma and Failure to Thrive.

Maria will have surgery on September 28th and the cost of it is way more than what her family alone can cover.  Any donation is more than welcome and sure will be a God sent blessing for Maria and her family.
Here is the link where you can make your donation, find out other ways to help Maria's family and know more about her condition.

If you can't donate don't worry, you can also help by sharing the link, so other people know about Maria and how we can all give this cutie a second chance.  After reading her bio and all she have passed, I'm convinced she is not only a survivor, but a warrior.

God bless Maria Isabel, her family and everyone who kindly donates toward this good cause!

Medical Secretary Initiation Ceremony

I'm getting a technical degree on Medical Secretary & Billing and on Friday the 13th (yeah, weird!), was the Initiation.  This ceremony is done a week before we finish our classes and then go to the clinical practice.  I will start my clinical practice on the 30th, wish me luck! :)
The day before the director told us to choose someone to write the message for the ceremony, kind of a short story of our journey during that year. I had the honor to write it and while doing it, I couldn't contain my tears. Like some of my class mates, I had personal& family issues that made very difficult to concentrate and get out of my head the thought of giving up. Thank Good I had support from people that encourage me to keep going.

The ceremony was simple but very emotional.  Due to lack of space, we couldn't invite any relatives to the ceremony, that would have been the perfect touch; but it was a beautiful moment anyway.  We had to wear our practice uniform with the College ensign & ID.  We received the pin that represent us as the class of 2012.  Finally, a surprise: me and two other class mates where part of the College Honor Roll!  This was a surprise because when the list for the roll was made on February, we had the average to be in, but not the minimum required credits; we were short for 3.  The director convinced the board to reconsider and they included us!  We got the pin from the Honor Roll and a diploma :D

To finish it up, we had brunch and a delicious cake made by one of our professors

Birthday Recap

On the 17th was my......I don't want to say it....Lord.....30th birthday.  I still have mixed feelings about being 30 :\  Getting to this age seemed to take forever and I was really liking the idea of being "Forever 20-something" lol  Things got a little busy around the date and didn't had time to create a St Patrick's makeup look or manicure. I even had planned a post about my favorite green polishes & eyeshadows but maybe next year.

To share a little about my birthday, things didn't went the way I planned and to be honest, I was very angry for that.  To me, your birthday is that day when its ok to be a little selfish and make it all about you....it didn't happen. Anyway, not all was bad.  On Thursday I finished a couple classes of my 2nd semester and got A's on the final exams.  Later, I had dinner with a friend at PF Chang's for the first time.  Everything was delicious! Then we headed to a local bar to have a few drinks.  On Friday I woke up a lil' hung over to play basketball -for the 1st time ever- with a friend. I sucked at it.  On the day of my bday I went shopping during the morning with my cousin & aunts, later had dinner with my parents & younger brother.  I welcomed the Sunday alternating whiskey with tequila shots at El Morro, to wake up to a nasty hang over.  Later that day went out to have delicious chicken kabobs and this huge thing:

I almost ate it all and I'm happy that I lived to savoir that moment.  This is the best burger I have ate, ever!!!!
I'll blog later in the week about the birthday goodies I got :)
