Fashion Haul

Aside from buying beauty products, one thing I love is to shop for clothes.  Many years back my thing was jewelry and shoes ( I could not get out my favorite store with less than 2 o 3 pairs) but now I find so difficult to get shoes. Most are to flamboyant for my taste; in a way that once that the fashion fad is gone; I'll be left with a bunch of weird looking shoes.

Anyway, here are the tops I've got over the course of mid February & March:

From JCPenney

$10 each - This two look almost the same, but the detail in the front is what makes them different.  They run large but had to go a size up (from S to M) due to busty girl issues

$5 - a little bit longer for me but its very comfortable and looks very good with skinny or straight jeans.

$5 - this too is longer than what I usually wear but the print and the fluttery sleeves caught my eye

I wasn't sure about getting this one because of the ruffles across the chest; was afraid that it would make mine look even bigger, but I I loved the color and the one-shoulder design; so I went for it. It looks great!  Believe this one was $2? because the store was closing.

I have a few more things that I got on my birthday but haven't take pictures; my parents are packing for their vacation and taking the camera with them. I will post them when they are back.

Bargain Haul: beach wear :)

When preparing for my trip to Las Vegas last august I got a swimsuit at Walmart because I was loosing weight and didn't want to splurge on it to use it once (only had the chance to use it twice). This year there were two swimsuits from Roxy and Volcom that got me crazy, but they are pricey and since I plan to loose 10 more pounds and tone up didn't want to risk it buying a expensive piece to use it once or twice. Couple of weeks ago my family decided out of nowhere to go to the beach and I wasn't going because I didn't have a bathing suit. Later on the night before, I had to go to Kmart and they where having a sale on beach wear! I was saved and I $aved! :) This time I got brave and decided to get a bikini (with shorts). I know my stomach is not in the best shape but I want to venture on being more confident, and sometimes that means to push myself to it.Most pieces where $10, but some marked lower at check out which is even better!

In this edition, things I got at Marshalls after having fun at Sephora.  As in Burlington I found some cute tops from a brand called Living Doll.  I wanted to get some more but some where running big and they didn't have it in medium :(
Again, sorry for the bra, navel and cleavage action! :P

Birthday gifts from mom

Alo Alo!!!

On my birthday's week mom told me she wanted to get me a gift from her part. I'm unemployed right now & mom wanted to help me getting some clothes; after losing 84 pounds my closet is a graveyard! LoL
I'm not comfortable with my parents buying me stuff & didn't want her to spend much, so my choice was Burlington Coat Factory. They have nice selection of styles and brands and I've found some great bargains there. Didn't get all the things that I tried on because I made a lay-away weeks ago there anyway.

Anyway, here are the things I got at Burlington:

They have a biblical inscription inside which I found super cool cause I ♥ Jesus! LoL 

These need to get tailored, they didn't had petite sizes and size 9 is loose on the waist but size 7 felt to tight on my hips; so I had to settle for 9

In to the fitting room: 3-15-11

I decided to create this series of post to know if I'm the only one who takes pictures while trying out clothes in stores ahahah! Hope I'm not the be only one...that would make me feel like a weirdo! LoL

Aside from being fun to pose in front f a mirror, in a fitting room full of other people waiting for me to try on like 50 items; its interesting.  I don't own a long mirror to snap pics for OOTD, so taking these at the store makes easy for me to share with you what I like to wear or what I'll buy. So you don't worry; temperature in Puerto Rico is still a bit colder than we are used to for this time of the year, but still nice to wear strapless and sleeveless clothes LoL

found this strapless dress in the beach wear section but thought it would be nice to go out for spring / summer and pump it up with accessories, shoes and a nice clutch. $19.99. Still undecided on getting it.

I loved this mini dress, it's so different to what I'm used to wear! but in the back felt too short for me and I don't like to wear leggings to go out, so I left it. Was on clearance section $12.99

This was a keeper! loved the fluttery sleeves that will help hide wide bra straps for extra lift (that I'm in so much need!) and support.  also like the fact that it looked cute with jeans but also would look good with trousers or a formal skirt. $13.99

Another keeper! this asymmetrical? sleeveless tunic looked great with jeans. Sorry for the bra & navel action but don't worry, I will wear it with a black cami underneath in public ;)  This one is from a brand called Living Doll which I'm loving! $14.99
